CoPilot remains "disabled" on my Windows Laptop computer, the Microsoft apps, however, are another story.
I had it with Microsoft forcing "CoPilot" on all of their Office 365 applications. The instructions for disabling CoPilot were "Go into the settings on the app (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and click on "Disable CoPilot". Well, lo and behold, there IS no setting in Word, PowerPoint, etc. that says "Disable CoPilot"; the floating widget, reminiscent of "Clippy" that would just follow you around the desktop, would just hover all around my documents and presentations.
I had enough and did some (tacit) research. I hit on LibreOffice. Once I saw it, I remembered it from my old Linux / Unbutu days! It worked well then, it works well now! LibreOffice is a community-driven and developed software, and is a project of the not-for-profit organization, The Document Foundation.
I have been able to replace MS/Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and nary an AI Bot in sight.
