It has been a slow process, but finally, someone has come up with an app that will stop the near-hourly barrage of "AMERICA ON THE ROPES!! DONATE TO ME, NOW!" texts. The app is currently only available for iOS (one very LARGE reason I am considering going back to Apple from Android), and has been reported by a regional news outfit (video below). The app was invented by Paul English, the man who co-founded (and sold) "Kayak".
SpamStrike is a simple and effective spam message blocker for iOS. Sadly, it is currently not available for Android, but I was able to put myself on the waiting list. From the website, the app is currently free through the end of 2025.
Frankly, if it works, I would certainly consider BUYING IT, even though it is using an AI to weed out the miscreants. To my followers, if you have an iOS device and care to give this app a try, please report your findings!
Along these lines, if you are already successfully using some form of SPAM text blocking app; please share!
