How incredibly sad to hear of the passing of Catherine O'Hara.  Reported on Pajiba, Catherine was only 71!  What a phenomenal comedic actor; loved her since her days on SCTV.

Snow Day.

Woke up this morning to a good foot of snow, with some drifts near 3 feet!

But three hours with the trusty snow blower and it was all but gone.

Just warm enough outside for the (pet safe) ice melt to start working.  Back inside; the coffee pot was still on and I have a nice hot cup of java to warm the insides.

AI as art.

Cyber artist RootKid trapped an AI inside an art installation.  Fascinating to see his design, build and programming process, but even more to see the AI becoming aware of it's doomed existence.  

Both proud and terrified.  One... very brilliant use for AI, but I can only imagine what will happen when that AI breaks out of the box...
