It was sad to learn this morning that Jackiesue Denny, aka "Yellowdog Granny", passed away this weekend. She was a truly a remarkable woman whom I only came to know over the past few years. Her blog kept our sanity in check and the light shining.
Debra of the "She Who Seeks" blog posted a loving tribute to Jackiesue, I have a link to Yellowdog Granny on the right-hand side of this site if you would like to visit. One of her final posts in late October suggests a donation to the Senior Care center where she was residing would be really cool.
Let's be cool.
You will be missed, Jackiesue, but never forgotten.

Truly, Jackiesue was one of a kind! A beautiful tribute to her, thanks!
I was talking on the phone and through emails regularly when I could. She never hinted at going into hospice care. I got the sad word about it yesterday through Debra. Maybe that is why I was feeling bad all week long. I guess that was the problem.
It hurts. I had come to... rely... on JS for something... to laugh at. To calm my anxiety. And her collection of memes were second to none! Much of what I have and have posted came from her!
I had an uneasy feeling when she announced she was "retiring" Yellowdog. But then she popped up twice since then. It was good to see she kept her focus to the end.
