Over this past month, Goldie has become a full-time resident in our home. Always ready to play. Always under foot (of both me an the husband). Takes up station where ever we are in the house.
Happy, content, mischievous...
Our established duo are warming to the interloper...
Etta and Goldie just hanging in the living room.
Those two enjoy their morning "Zoomies"; chasing around house. Nothing like a 18 pound cat hurdling down wooded stairs... all that seems to be missing is the sound of bowling pins crashing. Etta will crawl out to her "safe space" when she has had enough.
Rolling in the snow...
A few weeks ago, Stunt Double decided to move on, and has stopped coming around the property. My neighbor found him nesting under a hedge line, and we moved the heated bed box over to near there. I caught sight of him a few times since then, but it is the will of a feral animal. The feed and water dishes go untouched.
All in all, house is balanced. In the past, we always found that three pets; twelve paws, was... sufficient. For many years, we had a dog in the mix, but three cats works,
too. The low growling between the three of them have more or less ended. Playing "batsy" (slapping each other) seems to have taken over; no one cat seems to be dominant, until we talk food. Goldie is what I call a "front end loader" when it comes to eating, and his zeal to eat has encouraged Lilo and Etta to not be so fussy about their meals.
So that is the update!
Onward!
