It's SATURDAY!!!!
Enjoy that first sip!
As we say in my family, "Some families get all the rich ones,
we get all the nutjobs."
Skid-proof!
No, that's how it works.
...and now yearning to go back to
the "Dumb Phone".
Tick-tock...
Revenge? I like revenge.
Needs to happen on so many levels.
It will never change.
Enough.
Hey! Idea!
Let's spend some time
on Fire Island.

The Graham Hines quote has it right. And even raising the minimum wage probably wouldn't make food much more expensive anyway. Last time I checked, the minimum wage in Denmark was equivalent to US$22. Even burger flippers make that much (plus government health insurance, guaranteed paid vacation, and all the other mandatory benefits workers get). But fast-food burgers there are only slightly more expensive than here.
I’ve watched that production number so many times and never tire of it. Would haven been wonderful to see it in person.
Good LOLs but I just love that Fire Island Dance video! Very creative use of yoga mats. And a great new interpretation of "Mack the Knife" -- those costumes, each with their hint of sharkiness, are just so fresh and terrific!
Charmin Ultra-soft TP expert here. I've been buying the 30 roll pack from Costco for several years, last this 1 person forever, and out of all the rolls I've hung on the TP holder, a few rolls still leave the dangling piece, due to the cutters at the factory becoming misaligned...and you're very welcome for this useless piece of dangling information. Enjoy the weekend, Rade and hubby, are you experiencing any of the choking smoke from the Canadian fires? Did you see Repugs threaten to sanction Canada over the drifting wildfire smoke? Insanity, but that's their most enduring characteristic. Here in the PNW with the strong onshore flow, we have escaped the smoke, so far. We'll have some smoky days from our own forest fires during another hot summer with the arsonists and careless campers.
Oh yes.....I remember when appliances lasted. My parents still had the same stove in my ancestral house from when I was little and moved out in 95. By my calculations it last 32 years!!! Now since, my mother is own her second stove. I think they purposely make things not to last.
And I got you email! Be in touch.
That was brillant....and so Fire Island!!!
Lots of good chuckles here.
Several days this past week (including today) the smoke as settled over us like a thick fog; at ground level and smelling like something is burning. We have a storm from rolling through that is SUPPOSED to change the weather pattern for the next week, pushing the smoke out and not letting it drop over us again.
Now the issue today is; the rain. Falling through the smoke. It's going to coat everything; the garden, the developing fruit on the trees, the bird baths, etc.
Same! My folks had the same appliances for as long as I could remember! I think my dad finally replaced the old washing machine sometime in the late 1990's.
