There seem to be plenty of people who take #4 as real advice. Sad.
The nose jump start would be irresistible to try.
Most people have no idea how awful pre-modern life was. Even if there wasn't a war you'd have a wide range of loathsome diseases trying to kill you before you got old enough to be tortured and burned as a heretic or whatever.
It would be just like Darth Vader to force-troll a cat.
