A PSA from the Social Security Administration: Slam the Scam

National "Slam The Scam" day.  In this day and age of DOGE trying to wrangle all aspects of money from the US Government, it helps to pay attention.

If you do collect Social Security (I do), if you have not done so, I advise turning on multi-factor authentication for your benefits access.

If you DO engage in conversation with someone you don't know, never, never, never respond to a Yes or No question with a Yes or a No. They're recording that and can use it to capture accounts --- because so many places/companies use AI bots to open and close accounts.

A worthwhile reminder. Many scammers target older people because they're less savvy about this stuff, so Social Security recipients are a natural pool of potential victims.
