(Easter) Sunday Morning Sip

 Happy Easter Sunday, everyone!

The Shroud of Moron.

In terms perhaps the Christian extremists can understand; you crucified Liberty for his (Trumps) sins.

Life lessons not learned until late in life.

And speaking of which, time to light the grill!
About the only Easter tradition I celebrate is our annual lamb roast.

Leg of lamb, lots of garlic, rosemary, sea salt, fresh lemon juice and fire!

If you are interested in how to prepare a leg of lamb for the fire...
(yes, I made this video YEARS ago, I can tell by the Pumpkin Formica countertop in the background)

Born and raised in a Serbian Orthodox household.  The "High Holy Day" holidays were always something celebrated; lamb or goat were always somewhere on the menu.  My mom kept to the Serbian traditions of church and all the fuss regarding rituals (and food).  But other than the "Smells and Bells" of church, I never gave them much more attention (I was in it for the after service cookie plate).  To tell you how much I was tuned into the religion of my youth, my very first lover was a dress designer, and would design and construct elaborate bespoke wedding gowns.  Shortly after we became a couple, he wrapped up a gown for a client, and we were invited to the wedding. It was at a Roman Catholic church.  The choir began to sing a song I recognized! I leaned over to him and exclaimed (quietly), "They're singing in SERBIAN!!!".
He politely responded, "No, Dear, this is a Roman Catholic church, they are singing in Latin...".
I'll just stick to the traditional Easter Lamb and call it a day.

The Elon looking for corruption one was good! And happy Easter to you. While I was never very religious and still aren't, Easter to me has always been a celebration of the beauty of spring and enjoying a good meal with family. I myself will be making a leg of lamb, but if you side fixings.

Happy Easter, to you as well! That's about how I look at the holiday - savoring what nature is bringing forth, and eating!

I cannot say I am an Atheist, but certainly agnostic and the older I am getting, more aligned to naturalism. I find more peace within nature than any church or prayer or people could ever offer.

Patsy depicts how a lot of us are handling the coup.
