Sunday Morning Sip - Palm Sunday

Happy Palm Sunday!

Our Witch Hazel in full bloom!
Always the first flowers coming out of Winter.

Miss her.

The famed "Boston Tesla Party".

Perhaps so...

...perhaps not.  Too... Pittsburghish.

Blow up REAL good!

And finally, today in "Where's the cat?"
We have a "Seven Sons" tree that grows at the corner of the house.
Our duo have learned early on that they can scale the tree to have a stroll on the roof.
When we had the addition built, the carpenter just got done framing the structure and
put the sheeting up for the roof.  The cats would walk over the sheeting and look down at him.
I'd hear, "OH MY GOD!  THE CATS ARE ON THE ROOF!!!" and he's get his tall step ladder,
set it up, the duo would walk over to him, he'd pick them up, bring them to the ground...
only for them to rocket back up the Seven Sons tree, across the roof and back to were he was working.
This went on three times before he caught on that this was their game.
After that, he'd just talk to them while they lounged on high.

What a great meme dump! My faves are Moses with his life jacket and the Boston Tesla Party! Your cats sound absolutely delightful!

I had to steal a few of these great memes. Cats are so funny. I call my cat, Missy, our porch panther. She loves to sun herself in the morning. She even lays on our roof taking in the warmth.

Any time! Don't mind sharing at all!

Our duo; Lilo and Etta, are going on 5 years old. Rescues from a local animal shelter; they were a "bonded" pair that came out of a hoarding situation.

Bonded... means as kittens they would cuddle up together, but after that stage, they are mortal enemies. It's WWIII in the house most days, but what's funny... they are never more than 20 feet from each other at any time - even outside. And when one is out, the other one paces back and forth, stares out the windows, until the first comes back in. Both are cuddle cats with my husband and I; Lilo (roof photo) sleeps on husbands feet; Etta will curl up on my slippers next to the bed. Until dawn, then hissing begins. Both DEMAND lap time from me (though not at the same time).

But they are just such great cats! We keep the "cookie" bucket (30oz. Temptations) on the counter, more often than not, uncovered. They see it, can EASILY jump up on the counter, but they don't. They wait until either of use are at hand then give us that "Stepford Cats" stare until we relent and drop a handful of treats on their dining mat.
