Today is Wednesday. Woke up several times throughout the night with excruciating pain in my knees and a stiffness in my lower back and hips. No fucking clue. Decided to get my ass to the gym and work through the muscle groups. Did my warm up in the elliptical machine, then headed to the cage to stretch.
So I started my stretching routines. The pain is just not going away. And I started thinking... "I didn't do ANYTHING yesterday! Monday, I did yard work...". And then it dawned on me. Sunday, I only dug a 70 foot trench from the garage to the wood shed. By hand.
And this morning, I could not move. Of course, once I nailed down the root cause, the pain began to subside. Back home, on my third cup of coffee and able to move again.
I hate this old age shit.

It does creep up on you, doesn't it. When we were younger we never really appreciated the blessing of being free of such aches and pains.
I'm so bad, I'm sore just LOOKING at the pics
What I really hate is the near-paralytic delayed reaction from the body. NOT the next day, but, like TWO days after. And it lasts.
Yeah, that'll do it. It seems I'm always running off to physio these days for pulled muscles and overstretched tendons.
Old age shit? You dug a 70 foot trench by hand! Anyone would ache after that!
Oh, that shit'll kill ya. The bad part? It doesn't get any easier.
As good ole Bette Davis said-" Old age is no place for sissies."
Ditto what everyone said.
