With all the... horrific... nonsense coming out of Washington these past days, I failed to to honor Jane Goodall who passed away this week at age 91.
Jane gave her life to science, conservation, and showed us that chimpanzees aren’t only cute – they’re complicated, emotional, and sometimes savage. In her studies, she also proved that man was not the only primate to form and use tools. Her projects produced some of the longest-running studies about animal behavior in the world that are crucial to
understanding such long-lived species, and she inspired generations of people to delve into the science of primatology.

Rest in peace, Jane.

She's going to be a huge loss and Alliance in the Environmental and animal protection worlds. Not near enough people in either of these fields. I was very saddened when I heard it.
