This is a blog by an adult for adults. Tiverton Town Alerts
To my townie friends who follow this blog, weather alerts in effect for parking and trash pick-up.
Our township did a similar announcement here. No parking on the street, mind you the streets are two way, but so many park their cars in the street instead of their two-car garage and driveway. I don't get it. Not to mention when going down a street, drivers have to pull in and wait for a oncoming driver to pass. What is the purpose of a garage and driveway if they aren't going to use them? My that was a rant. Anyway, the township won't plow the street if cars are still left in the street,
Maddie, it's been my experience as I drive in my neighborhood and garage doors are open that we are an out of control consumer driven society and those garages are full out to the doors with junk and possessions. It's appalling.
We built a 3-car garage with two garage doors. I designed it that way so that we have enough room on each side of our vehicles for the CRAP; tool bench, grills (plural), boxes of Christmas stuff, etc. PLENTY of room for two vehicles and the seasonal snow blower. Every... EVERY home here has, minimally, a 1 car garage, and none of them use them for cars.

Be careful when shoveling.
