Days like today make me want to watch "Doctor Zhivago" and practice the balalaika...
The view outside our patio door onto our deck.
The back yard (covered patio from first photo)
(from under eave security camera)
View of the street through the front door.
Side entrance view during...
(another under eave security camera shot;
door has snow 1/2 way up)

It's been a good morning for a pot of tea (not my usual coffee). Power went out (so far) for all of about 15 seconds. Just enough to reset every clock in the house. Local meteorologists are saying this won't begin to subside until early afternoon and the wind won't let up until tonight.
We certainly have a good 16" of snow on top of what we had from last weeks storm.
But we're in. Safe.
Nesting upward,
Rade

Oh yes, that magical scene riding in a troika through the winter wonderland! Best thing about the whole movie.
In and safe is good, you and the husband stay that way. Thanks for the pics. Haven't personally seen that much snow since the 70s.
We have a bird feeder hanging from our Cypress tree that we loaded up with sail bread last night. The birds are ALL over it. I'm thinking that if they can weather being out in this, I can get deck out and try and clear some of this mess. >I Hate shoveling snow at night<.
Take care when shoveling the stuff.
That final shot. You would think you were in Russia... (I know. I know.) SG’s favorite film of all time I think. I’ve seen it with him about half a dozen times. Stay warm and safe.
