The blog Seriously? OMG WTF! offers up some wonderful summertime horror fun with "Bad Karaoke"
"Let’s be honest. We have all been to a Karaoke night where a singer thought they killing it, but all you wanted to do was kill their mic because they were murdering a song and your eardrums.
That is exactly what happened to directors Chris Lightbody and Robert J. Steinmiller Jr. because they made a movie about a killer Karaoke machine, Bad Karaoke.
“We were inspired to make this film after years of painful karaoke performances nearly put us in an early grave. We found that many people have had near-death karaoke experiences and we wanted to play with that idea, as well as say something profound about the state of new music. But instead, we made Bad Karaoke.”
I have been to enough (bad) karaoke nights that I can count them on one hand and still have a few fingers left. It has NEVER been of any interest to me, nor gathering to passively listen to the blood streaming down from my ears while someone warbles out either a Country or a Western tune over an all-too-loud sound system.
So, a movie about a murderous karaoke machine may just hit the right notes!

Bad singers and busted ear drums are exactly why I don't go into a Karaoke bar.
