Thanksgiving dinner... delivered! A family of 8 wild turkeys
roamed up through our yard last week (there are more, just out
of range of the camera lens).

Thank the deities I don't have to start cooking until around Noon. I don't know how long they keep the turkeys immersed in the liquid nitrogen, but my bird has been sitting out since MONDAY (okay, in an unheated room) and its still a glacier inside. Got is soaking in water... (sigh). Found that it was much cheaper to just buy a whole turkey then to just get a breast. Husband is happy we're going to have months of turkey pot pie in our future.

Happy Thanksgiving! I loved the first picture as it reminded me of my last home, where it was not uncommon to see wild turkeys and Guinea fowl running around the grounds. I can recall one time walking in Doylestown and seeing two turkeys perched on a white picket fence!
