AP News - Nancy Pelosi, 85, is not going to seek re-election when her term ends next year, bringing her 40-year service in Congress to a close. She was, unarguably, the most powerful and influential politician of our time.
"Pelosi, appearing upbeat and forward-looking as images of her decades of accomplishments filled the frames, said she would finish out her final year in office. And she left those who sent her to Congress with a call to action to carry on the legacy of agenda-setting both in the U.S. and around the world."
One of her more incredible accomplishments was shepherding the Affordable Care Act through congress during President Obama's first term in office.
Of course NO highlight would be incomplete without her tearing up Trumps State of the Union address shortly after he gave it...
Thank you, Madam Speaker, for your years of civil service!

She kicked ass and kicked it hard!
With respect to her, she should have left years ago. I was done with her when she wouldn't endorse or support any progressive candidates or democrats in the past who had fresh ideas to take the party forward, and not in the stale dying Democrat party. Some of those seats could have been won. Just like many of the current Dem leadership, including Schumer and Jefferies refused to support or endorse Mamandi. If they don't wake up and start supporting the new blood like we saw this week, the party can forget about regaining power. And a shame she burned her bridge with the Bidens.
