Regardless if I watch it or not, I am going to begin DVR'ing the late night talk shows. I've set up our Sling TV to record Jimmy Kimmel, Steven Colbert and Seth Meyers.
Why, you ask? In a word, ratings. The fact that our "tuner" is set to these shows at time of broadcast is one more hit on the algorithm that supports them, and consequentially, in solidarity to support our 1st Amendment rights to free speech. I may or may not watch the recording, but it is a way to show the likes of Sinclair and the Nexstar Media Group that there is an audience somewhere who finds the content important enough to support it. Kimmel and Colbert are on simultaneously, so sorry, Jimmy Fallon, unable to record you (there is a programming limit on the OTA box).
And it took nothing more than a few finger clicks on the remote!

I don't watch late night talk shows either...Nexstar didn't even broadcast Kimmel's shows here. I'm sure it will return as it was very popular here....but that night I did stream it. Sooner as these companies feel in in their wallet....they will put it back on. Disney I understand took close to a billion-dollar hit. And both Nexstat and sinclair contracts from Disney are up in 2026. Let's hope they don't get renewed.
We watched on YouTube. The ratings, including post-broadcast on streaming devices, went through the roof. And The Felon is furious.
