"Starting in mid-September, any artist profile Spotify flags as a photorealistic AI-generated identity", that's an ID that has been manufactured using AI, "once it clears a certain audience size, gets the badge slapped on its page, its search listing, and every track row it shows up in."
The net is this: The AI generators can still produce music, they just can't promote the AI crap in your recommendations list without letting you know it's AI.
I like this! Given how MUCH AI generated garbage is being shoveled onto these platforms, it will certainly make it easier to weed that out from a legitimate source.
