Such incredible talent; in song and on screen...
several years back. Dolly bought a dilapidated fair ground
in her home town of Pigeon Forge TN. The town was in poverty,
coal was the only industry, and the mines had shut down.
The park had one ride - a train - and she turned it into an
exceptional amusement park that hired so many unemployed
town folk. Part of the park is dedicated to the artisans from the region.
Blacksmiths, ceramicists, weavers.
Just exceptional.
This world just became a little darker.

Thank you so much for sharing this tribute. I have always loved Dolly Parton for her music and her kind and down to earth personality. She will be missed.
RIP Dolly Parton. What an icon and shining light, especially in today's MAGA America of hatred, greed, and evil. She will be missed so much!
