Oh well, we're supposed to be on the road through Connecticut to NYC for the weekend, but a winter storm in that region has other plans. 4-8 inches of snow TODAY, with more through the weekend is not good.
Plans cancelled; we're staying home.

Good idea to stay home!
Yeah, we're having winter storms here on the prairies too. My Christmas Eve plans got cancelled because of them. I loved that Penn & Teller video! Had a good laugh at the "F.U." trophy!
You made the right decision to stay home. I've seen many instances of friends and family trying to go through with their travel plans during winter storm warnings to disastrous results. So much better to cancel a plan and try again when weather permits than to risk never showing up again. Hope your Christmas day and the days ahead will be satisfiable.
Idunno, Milleson. I just don't get this push to travel when the weather is no cooperating. Seems every night on the local news, they are interviewing people stuck at the airport bemoaning their cancelled or delayed flights. I mean... did they NOT check the weather a few days out?
I paid a few dollars more for cancellation insurance on our reservations. Christmas Eve was the decision gate (had until midnight to go or cancel). When I saw "4-8" of snow", we didn't give cancelling a second thought, and you know... we're good with that!
