SYDNEY, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Australia has become the first country to ban social media for children under 16, blocking access to platforms including TikTok, Google, YouTube and Meta’s Instagram and Facebook from midnight.
FINALLY! One country that has reached the end of their patience waiting for social media platforms to police content and properly restrict access. In one fell swoop, an entire demographic is off the services, or else! I wonder how long it will take for the mental an physical health of the children and teens to improve?
Huzzah!

It will be interesting to see how, or even if, it will be possible for Australia to enforce this. Many have their doubts. It's easy to pass laws, much more difficult to enforce them.
It is a start! ANY start! Like trying to get common sense gun laws passed in this fuckwad country.
