Trench Warfare

Project number 5 is completed - dug 70 foot trench (by hand) to plumb in a water connection from the garage to the greenhouse.

Supervisor Goldie...

Plumbed the "T" into the water at the garage.
Also my handiwork from when the garage was
built in 2020. I knew were to dig...

Finding the course.

PEX ready to go under ground.

Got everything done, and after testing the line and checking for leaks, filled the hole under the faucet with cement.  Good luck, Mr. Woodchuck.

Tomorrow, hopefully, I will finish the electrical (yes, I do have it on a GFCI protected circuit) for some LED lighting and a fan.

Man!  My traps are killing me...

Oh, and the OTHER project we knocked out this week was building a 15' x 2' x 28" raised garden box behind the woodshed.  Built with 16 - 16' composite deck planks, some PT 2x4's and fence posts.

Before...

Back wall installed...

Done.
Husband is now working to fill the box about 3/4 way with compost and garden soil and has several Jerusalem Artichokes ready to plant. Glad for all the efforts, but so DAMN glad to see May and the last of these projects leaving in the rear view mirror.

Onto Summer.

It actually was! Something about a day in the yard with a shovel...

I thought you were RETIRED. (You should be tired after all of that work.)

I never understood that etymology of that word... "re" - again, to repeat. "tired" - exhausted... Why, yes, I am exhausted again.
